Pickled Red Onions

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
  • 1/2 cup WHITE VINEGAR
  • 1 red onion, sliced 1/8 inch thick
  • 1/4 cup HONEY or MAPLE SYRUP

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Heat the pickling mixture until hot. 
  2. Thinly slice the onion, and submerge into the mixture. 
  3. Let the onions sit until they begin to turn a bright pink, purple color.
  4. Remove the pot from heat and let cool. 
  5. Once cooled, add the onions to a jar and store in the fridge.
